Knockmealdown Active’s Annual Pilgrim Walk 2026 follows the historic Saint Declan’s Way from Cashel to Ardmore, bringing participants on a shared journey of walking, reflection, and renewal across three weekends.
The full route is divided into six fully guided stages, completed in pairs:
Stages 1 and 2 on 18th & 19th April 2026 (Cashel to Cahir and Cahir to Goatenbridge),
Stages 3 and 4 on 9th & 10th May 2026 (Goatenbridge to Melleray and Melleray to Lismore),
and Stages 5 and 6 on 23rd & 24th May 2026 (Lismore to Aglish and Aglish to Ardmore).
Moving steadily through the Knockmealdown landscape to the coast, offering participants the chance to walk at a steady, supported pace through some of the most scenic landscapes in the region. Designed as both a physical and reflective experience, the walk emphasises connection to landscape, heritage, and community, encouraging participants to walk, reflect, and revive along one of Ireland’s historic pilgrimage routes.
